Migrazione Exchange 2003

Salve a tutti, nella mia rete ho due DC, uno W2003 e uno W2000.

In quello con W2000 ho in funzione Exchange 2000.
L'operazione che volevo fare è spostare exchange nel server con w2003srv
nella versione più aggiornata (exchange 2003).

Per fare questo ho eseguito i seguenti passaggi:
- setup di Exchange 2003 con i parametri /forestprep prima e
/domainprep dopo sul server
con Exchange 2000
- Ho aggiornato Exchange 2000 al SP3

Fatto questo quando vado ad installare nel nuovo server Exchange 2003
ottengo il seguente errore:


- Impossibile aggiornare il componente 'Servizi di messaggistica e
collaborazione di Microsoft Exchange' sull'operazione 'Installa' perche:
- Per poter aggiornare Microsoft Exchange è necessario prima aggiornare alla
versione più recente tutti i connettori di Active Directory nell'insieme di
strutture Windows. I seguenti server ADC non sono stati aggiornati:
W2000SRV

dove W2000SRV è il server dove ora è installato Exchange2000.

Cosa devo fare?

Il Connettore Active Directory serve x sincronizzare il servizio di
directory di Exchange 5.5 con Active Directory.
Dato che non hai Exchange 5.5 in teoria non andava installato neanche in
origine.

probabilmente era installato perche anni fa, prima di Exchange 2000
c'era Exchange 5.5.

Sono riuscito ad eliminare il contratto di connessione di ADC dallo
snap-in Siti e srvizi di Active Directory ed ho disinstallato Active
Directory Connector.
Ora ho un altro problema che non mi permette di andare avanti con
l'installazione di Exchange 2003 sul nuovo server.
Il problema è che nella struttura di Exchange mi compare ancora il
vecchio server Exchange 5.5 che però fisicamente non esiste più da
molto tempo. Quando vado ad installare Exchange 2003 mi dice infatti
che non lo trova e non mi continua l'installazioe.
Come poisso fare?

E' un po' una grana.

Sull'Exchange 2000 apri Exchange Administrator (Se c'è).
Mi raccomando di non confonderlo con Exchange System Manager.

Sulla lista dei server dovresti trovare il nome del server 5.5 e qui devi
cancellarlo.

Eventualmente fai un controllo anche su Exchange System Manager ma quello
che mi interessa è il primo.

oppure si deve usare ADSIEdit e abbiamo da ridere/piangere a tua scelta.

Usando ADSIEdit, sono riuscito a trovare il server Incriminato nel
seguente percorso:

CN=Configuration
+ CN=Service
+ CN=Microsoft Exchange
+ CN=[ORG. NAME]
+ CN=Administrative Group
+ CN=[GROUP NAME]
+ CN=Server

e l'ho eliminato.

Ora aprendo Exchange System Manager, il vecchio server non c'è più e
quando vado sulla nuova macchina per installare Exchange 2003 non ho
più il messaggio di prima ma il seguente:

" Il componente di servizi di messaggistica e colloborazione di
Microsoft Exchange richiede un nome utente, un dominio ed una password
per l'account di servizio di Installazione di Exchange 5.5 esistente.
Digitare le informazioni nei campi visualizzati di seguito."
E mi viene impostato come obblicatorio l'utente DPG\Administrator e non
posso scrivere niente sul campo Nome Dominio. Ho provato a mettere la
password dell'amministratore del dominio ma mi dice: "Per continuare
inserire un Account valido."

Mi chiedo come mai cerca ancora riferimenti nel vecchio server visto
che ora è stato cancellato e non lo trovo più nemmeno nel ESM.

Ho disabilitato il servizio dalla gestione dei servizi (è sufficiente o devo
disinstallare qulcosa?) ma non ha avuto nessun effetto.

Non è il servizio che intendo.
Quello che hai fermato è Microsoft Exchange Management mentre io intendo
Microsoft Exchange Site Replication Service.
La traduzione Italiana del nome dovrebbe essere qualcosa tipo "Servizio di
Replica Siti di Exchange"

Per farmarlo puoi usare "net stop msexchangesrs" da riga di comando.
Ma ricordati che lo devi anche disabilitare.

Dato che non hai + Exchange 5.5 metti l'organizzazione in Native Mode da
Exchange System Manager poi riprova.

Ti confermo che la modalità attuale è Mixed Mode, ma il tatso per il
cambio di modalità a native mode è disabilitato e quindi non riesco a
cmbiare modalità.

Ok, dopo cambiata l'organizzazione in Native Mode, sono riuscito a far
partire l'installazione
di Exchange 2003.
L'unica cosa è che al momento di lancire l'installazione viene
visualizzato un messaggio che dice che
ci potrebbero essere dei problemi di compatibilità con il sistema
operativo.
Non capisco come mai visto che il S.O. è Windows 2003 standard edition
ed io stò installando
Exchange 2003 Enterprise Edition.
Qualche delucidazione in proposito?

Si, avevo già installato l'SP1 di windows ed ho installato anche l'SP1
di Exchange.
Ho fatto la migrazione di due cassette postali per prova e sembra tutto
ok.
Funziona anche OWA.
L'unica difficoltà la stò avendo solo con le cassette pubbliche. Ne
ho presa una per prova,
l'ho replicata sul nuovo server, ho controllato che fosse sincronizzata
ma non la trovo sul nuovo server.

Dagli un po' di tempo.
Mi fa piacere che l'installazione si sia conclusa.
Era il DB dell'SRS sporco.
Quando il 5.5 era stato rimosso non era stata replicata la modifica con
l'Active Directory Connector.

Da solo non ce l' avrei mai fatta.

Ok. Ora provo ad attendere anche se devo dire che le cartella pubblica
che
ho replicata era una cartella di contatti di prova che conteneva un
solo contatto e
quindi era molto piccola.

Credo che ci sia qualcosa che non va per quanto riguarda le cassette
pubbliche.
Oramai sono più di due ore e le cassette che ho replicato non
compaiono nel nuovo server...

Forza il diagnostic logging sui Public Folder del nuovo server.
Sei sicuro che non hai scordato di inserire i nuovi PF nella lista dei
server da replicare ?
